Lord Falthar, The Soul Eater

This is a character of my own creation, his name is Lord Falthar The Soul Eater. I did this project to try out my new graphics tablet I recently purchased. I also tried out a new process of going from ZBrush to Photoshop.

The sculpt was done completely by me inside ZBrush from scratch. I then did polypaint on the character to get a rough idea of colors for later painting in photoshop. It was my first time using polypaint and I enjoyed it. Next I made a bunch of renders using ZBrush by applying different matcaps. These renders were then brought to photoshop where I combined and made adjustments to each one. Using different layer effects and painting in colors to add highlights, I really wanted to push realism for this character. I also found various textures online such as bones, blood and skin to further that realistic look.

I am really happy with the final result, using my skills I have and learning new ones. I am excited to make my next character!
